I was actually playing around with it last night - at the moment the hidden polys still act like they're there during a sim - it would have been a cool way to get rips in clothing but so far I haven't been successful. Maybe an actual geograft instead of a conditional one will work... unfortunately I have a big deadline this week so I don't have time to experiment more right now.
I'm curious why a conditional graft would crash Carrara - since its only a setting for hidden polygons and not extra geometry like a full geograft. I'd be more inclined to look at the rigid follow nodes for the bow and star ornament.

mm could also do it indeed, not complaining BTW just trying to troubleshoot reasons so can fix
Sorry to revive an old thread but I found this and followed the video in the OP and it all seemed to work like a charm. I created new paramter switches to hide and unhide parts of a garment. I also found that I already had a garment in my Library which comes with these HIde Enable/Disable switches for parts of the clothing:
The problem I now have is that neither the garmets that I edited nor the Kawaii Overalls will hide by clicking the Hide Enable parameter. I don't know whether this happened after an update or whether it has ever worked on reload. I have seen some posts here suggesting that it will only work for the original edited scene but not on reload but I can't confirm this.
Make sure you're not in the geometry editor tool but in the node selection tool. How are you saving after creating the dial?
Actually, the product linked is not one of my edits - it is a commercial product. I will load it again and make sure that I am not already in the geometry editor though.

Wow, this is fantastic! Thanks!!!! :)

Quick Question. What is the best way to save the conditional morph?
Personally I prefer File - Save As - Support Asset - Figure/Prop Assets, and I usually give it a new item name so it won't overwrite the original. :)
Hello, Mada. Thanks for tutorial.
Slow Question. Hidden facets affects neighboring facets while dForce Simulation even if they are not "Visible in Simulation". See screenshot.
Do you know how to fix this? I don't want any affects of hidden part on other surfaces.
Thank you.
Thanks

Thanks, I did not know about this feature!
oh now I know why this outfit crashes Carrara even after converting to blended weight
the grafts!
now I need to find out how to disable them!

Let me know if you figure it out :)

Update: Doh, my silly fault!
Yes, I must have been in Geometry Editor and not the Node Selection tool. Baie dankie for spotting that, it really had me scratching my head.
i actually just watched that tutorial today also, randomly.
