Gray thumbnails for Growing Up for Genesis 8 Male. What to do ??

Hello, I installed Growing Up for Genesis 8 male (with DIM). The thumbnails are grayed out in the Shaping tab and if I click on it, a missing file message is displayed. I have Genesis 8 Starter Essential installed, in the same directory. Help !!!

  • Please switch your Viewport to Smooth Shgaded mode, or zoom to show the ehad, or move the error dialogue down a bit.

It is failing to see the content directory the files are installed to - perhaps you have another copy of the Starter Essentials in another content directory. Please post screen shots showing:

    1. the list of install directories in DIM - click the gear icon at top-right and go to the Installation tab
    2. the list of content directories in DS - go to Edit>Preferences>Content tab, click Content Directory Manager, and expand the entries to show the current paths

Hi Richard and first of all thank you for the speed of your help.
I'm sorry, I'm French and I use Google to translate our words. Thus, I do not understand the terms "Smooth Shgaded" as well as "ehad".
However, I enclose the requested captures hoping that you can solve my problem. Best regards.

  • Sorry - Smooth Shaded (which is one of the options when you click the sphere icon to the left of the button labelled Perspective View in your screenshot, at top-right of the Viewport) or zoom the view to show only the head. I am very bad at making typing errors (or possibly very good at making typing errors).

Looking at your screenshots, your content is going to the default location - the My Daz 3D Library folder in Public Documents on the C: drive - but you dn't have that set as a content directory for Daz Studio itself. Either add it to DS (click on Daz Studio Formats in the dialogue box, then click the Add button and select the My Daz 3D Library from the Public Documents folder) or tell DIM to install to your prefered location (click the + button, give the location a name, click ... and select D:/Daz 3D/My Daz 3D Library, then use the Current button to tell DIM to use that folder, uninstall the content from DIM, and reinstall to the new location).

  • I told Daz the path C: \ ... as you told me and it works perfectly now. Thank you for your precious help, without people like you, people like me would still be in the Stone Age ...

  • Glad to have helped.
