Model Deformation

Does anyone know why almost all of the models I use (mostly Gen 8) get severely deformed when I use preset poses for the Gen 8 models?

The distortion is generally around the torso and groin.  Im not using any weird anatomy addons, nothing out of the ordinary.    And it does not matter if they have clothing on or not. The distortion will effect the clothing in those areas too.

  • No matter what I do this happens if I use any pose presets on any model, male or female.     I have checked the sliders and they are all fine, nothing way off.   I have limits turned on (turning off doesnt help either) and I am at a loss here.    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • This a known issue with a morph set, I believe. Do you have the Big Girl Moprhs for Genesis 8 Female installed? https://www.daz3d.com/big-girl-morphs-for-genesis-8-female

  • Yes I do.  Is that the reason?   Because I will ditch it quick, fast & in a hurry.

  • Well. I removed the big girl files and it didnt help.   I only have about  500 more morphs to go through.  >.<

  • This is not a normal problem to be having. Lol.

I mean this bug just effectively gave her a tail.   I cannot for the life of me figure out what to do.

I think you have to go to Parameters tab, and under the four-line menu icon turn on Show Hidden Properties. Then have the figure posed, and then click Currently Used (still Parameters tab), and scan for weird grayed-out properties that are (hopefully) named after a product you could recognize.

I love you long time.    I found the four that were causing problems.   And I have no idea what they are from.   Will they stay set when I change them back?

No I don't think it will stay. Try this maybe: click the gear to edit one of the properties. Parameter Settings. Change something harmless like Hidden or something. Then do File/Save As/Support Asset/Save Modified Assets. It should show you a list of the files that are going to get edited. You should get a file path out of that. Then Cancel, don't go through with the save.
