MFD to QoA question

I can only seem to use MFD to QoA in DS3, but the rest of my scene has to be in DS4.6 because my dang dynamic control product doesn't work in DS3, anymore. Not to mention many of my shaders are DS4.6 only.
So, I tried to create the model and do the drape, thinking I could freeze the drape then re-open the scene in DS4.6 and go from there, but the mat gets all messed up, whether it's a freeze or a re-opening in Daz4.6.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the Dynamics are screwed again..this has been happening for a number of years now. Sorry I don't have a solution apart from don't use Freeze. If I get a chance tomorrow I will do some testing in DS4.6.
I think it's something to do with the fact that MFD to Doa doesn't translate to DS4.6 more so than a dynamic problem. Any ideas will be helpful :D
I tested this on Genesis 1 with two dress one a MFD-QoA and one a freebie for V5 and both opened up with textures in place after freezing.
This is using DS4.6.1.17.
next will be to look at what version of the Dynamic Plug-in you have for the above test I used 1.3.0.18 but I have NOT tried with the latest version 1.3.1.17 as DAZ3D said we didn't need to uppgrade plug-ins as the SDK hasn't changed.
Thanks for testing from your end. I have the updated dynamic control because they no longer offer the version I paid for and it no longer loads right in DS3.
Big drama, but ending result is I seem to have to load the textures in DS3, then re-open in DS4.6 to do a drape. But if I can use MFD to QoA in DS4.6 from the start, that would be awesome. Is that how you're doing it?
Yep all in DS4.6.1.17. I didn't use DS3 at all.
I just did a test with an animated Drape in DS4.6.1.17 using MFD-QoA and everything works as it should with Freezing.
Hmmm ... I wonder why it doesn't work for me in DS4.6 ???
You load the sci-dress in DS4.6 and the run the MFD mat script right in DS4.6?
I load the "Queen of Ages MFD.daz" first, then use the "Select MFD.dse" and go and select the MFD texture set of choice and that is it.
Hmmm ... I wonder what I'm doing wrong, then? I can get it to load in DS3, so I know HOW to do it ... lol. I just can't drape in DS3, anymore, so I have to figure out how to do it in DS4.6, like you are.
very odd ...
I seriously would consider moving to DS4.6 and not to clinging on to DS3. ;) I have to use DS3 becasue of computer issues but DS4.6 is so much better.
I have MFD-QoA installed in a directory that includes all my Dynamic clothing which is separate from the normal DS content folder but I can't see that being the issue.
How you are using this.
This is how I am doing it.
Load Genesis (or V4)
Load Queen of Ages MFD.daz
If "Fit to" is set to Genesis then set it to none, leave for V4.
Open the Dynamic Clothing control set up the Collision properties
Drape
Freeze
save scene
close DS
open DS and load the scene to test the mats are still correct.
I am using DS4.6, which I hate, by the way, because I can no longer use dynamics in DS3. But as far as the MFD to QoA product, I can't get it to load the MFD mats in DS4.6, so I have been loading the mats in DS3, then saving the outfit and reloading it into DS4.6 to do the drape. But now when I try that, it discombobulates the mat.
I'm just trying to figure out why I can't get the script to run in DS4.6.
The DS3 - DS4.6 might effect the mat zone issue. I will have to try that tomorrow, it's nearly bed time.
As for the Script not working in DS4.6 that might be an issue to raise with the vendor directly or make a bug report/ticket to DAZ3D if you cannot get hold of the vendor.
Thanks :D
I never put in a ticket because the product page doesn't say it even supports DS4+, so I never even expected it to ... lol. Now that I know it should, I'll let them know.
Yeah good point try contacting the vendor to see if they are going to support DS4.6 is probably the best why to go. Or phrase the ticket yo DAZ3D in so that you are asking them to ask the vendor for you.
