2080 Rendering Times

I had a 1080 I still do but I wanted a 2080 for a few reasons So I got a Palit Geforce RTX 2080 Super Jetstream 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card

Not just for Rendering but also for gaming when not doing renders but I am somewhat perplexed that the 2080 is slower.. in rendering times 2 - 3 minute difference in some cases!

Is it just a teething problem or is there something else missing? It's not the end of the world really (A few extra minutes is hardly problematic considering freind's of mine have to wait 30 minutes or more to see some of there scenes!)  I am just somewhat curious if the times will decrease over time anyway due to drivers and updates etc

If this is in the wrong section pardon I'm not entirely sure where this should go..

    You are using the 4.11 Public Beta? The current General Release, 4.10.0.123, does not have a version of Iray that supports the 20x0 series.

    I bought a MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Trio at Xmas and you should see a considerable improvement in render times once you get DS Beta installed.

    As Richie points out, without 4.11 Beta you'll only be rendering with CPU... hence the slow times you're getting.

    Yea.. I did a render after setting up the beta.. holy moly it was fast.. by a long way a scene before on the 1080 around 3 - 4 minutes.. this one finished in a minute - 19 seconds!
