How would you save permanent default materials changes to a figure?
Last night I loaded G3F and was horrified to see that tiling on all surfaces was set to 2. Default textures had not changed from the Raiya one G3F comes with. I'm at a loss as to how this happened; is there ERC for surface properties? Like maybe I installed a bad product?
Anyway, I fixed the tiling setting and saved as figure asset. This took 1 year to complete and trashed the nice G3F figure icon, replacing it with my viewport. What should I have done?
I'm thinking maybe "save modified assets" might have done the job? But I never use this option because there are usually a few third party product properties listed here (yes, even on a fresh load) that I don't want to mess with (Toon Generations and Mademoiselle namely)...
Thanks.

You could (after making a copy of your modified character preset) try reinstalling the base (Genesis 3 Starter Essentials).
Yeah I may... It will bug me otherwise... Will a reinstall leave all my converted GenX morphs alone? I don't want it deleting the entire data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 3/Female folder.
My character preset is just trying to get back to how it was originally installed, which is why I didn't want to save it as a preset.
Would you happen to know, what is the correct way to save the deletion of a property? You probably wouldn't do that via "save modified assets" I think. Is it better to seek a file to delete on the file system, I wonder.
If you want to delete a property that has been saved you have to remove its .dsf file, as far as I am aware there's no way (other than a script) to do it in DS.
Ok, thanks.
