How to use a genesis 3 weapon with G8F?

I just purchased the elven weapon kit but when I try to add the sword to my model, it does not automagically fit to her hand. My fault, did not see it was for G3...

Any way to make this work automatically for G8? Manually positioning the sword would be a real pain

    You could try chnaging the parenting of the sword with Parent in Place off - that will snap the origin of the sword to the origin of the hand, which might get it close enough to work from. Once you have it positioned, if they all load with the hilt in the same place, you could copy the one you posed, then for the others load them and paste the pose (both in the Edit menu). Once you have one positioned and aprented, use File>Save As>Wearables preset to save a preset you can use to reload it correctly.
