Content Library - Products section (0-9 / A-Z)

Hi Daz entheuists

I am hoping to get some technical support, I am a bit of a wiz with computers but this one has me stumped!
I on a daily basis with work perform system backups and restores so I am lost on this as it doesnt seem straight forward.

A bit of Back story
I am running two copies of Daz Studio, 1 on my Windows laptop and the other on my Windows desktop.

I use a Backup suite to sync the media library / files in the MyLibrary etc.

I want to be able to have it so the DAZ program has everything synced. The area of DAZ I cannot seem to copy across is the section in Content Library - Products - Letter "I" on my laptop has all my custom links, but on the desktop has only a few. Running my files sync doesnt seem to update these items!?

I am thinking the information I am looking for must be some kind of hidden database file which stores DAZ3D data..

Can anyone help me as to how to copy these items to another daz installation on my other PC.

Regards
SHAUN

  • The products and Categories lists, the presets tabs in proeprty panes, and the Smart Content pane all use the Content Management System - the location of the database is the Content Cluster folder set in Edit>Preferences>CMS Settings. Make sure DS, and the PostgreSQL database, are not running before trying to back it up or restore it. You can also use the Content DB Maintenance dialogue (in the Content Library option menu - the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) to export Userdata (changes you have made, rather than those created by installing content from the store) on one machine (to a Userdata/dsx file in /Runtime/Support) and to reimport metadata to bring in userdata copied from another machine.
