Seriously need help with poser and DSON

I migrated to DS not long after Genesis came out, and i've used it ever since. Now i'm starting to create characters for selling and i need to be able to make Poser Compatible files and make sure they work in Poser.
I bought Poser 9 and it arrived this morning. After a mini breakdown I have decided that i can do no more but ask for help.
I installed Poser 9.
I downloaded DSON importer, downloaded all the Poser Companion files I needed for genesis, M5 and V5 and added them to my main Daz content directory. I linked my Daz content to Poser and I kept getting error messages when I tried to load Genesis.
Then I came on the forums and saw I needed the SR3.1 update from SmithMicro. So I added that and I got not only the DSON importer error messages, but new ones saying the DLL wasn't compatible.
I have uninstalled Poser 9 and the SR3.1 and reinstalled them, trying just to get this to work at least, and i'm still getting the DLL error messages. I haven't linked my daz directories again yet.
Somebody please help! It's driving me nuts.

UPDATE:
I think I have sorted it now. I had a corrupted file that was causing all sorts of problems. I installed Poser to the default directories instead of trying to change the paths. I downloaded the SR3.1 update into the APPLICATION folder. I found out since Poser 9 is 32-bit I needed the DSON for 32-bit instead of 64, which is what my pc is. I downloaded DSON into the default content directory. I started up poser 9 with no error messages (wahoo!) and am now waiting for Genesis to load.
