Are you talking Zombies, as in Voodoo created "undead" slaves, or flesh-eating "Walking Dead" Ghouls? This sounds like the latter. Zombies don't eat people, Ghouls do.

Dude, if I see either one, I'm not letting them near my brain!

Dude, if I see either one, I'm not letting them near my brain! You don't have to worry about a Zombie attacking you. They're harmless, it's the Bokor who created them you have to worry about, lest he decide to make you one as well.

You do have to watch out for Ghouls, as they will attack and kill people, particularly if there aren't fresh corpses readily available.

    I'm with TheWheelMan lol

If your render has a flesh rotting, ribs showing, eyeball popping character - it'll pass, even if you call her Cinderella :)

    Oh Daryl...
Even if you'd take away the zombies, the rest of the cast and everything else (let's just stick him in a white room)
The series would still be worthwile to watch...
I will try to find time for a Daryl render!

I'd say it's more "nit-picky" than "soap-boxy." Yes, Romero and Russo referred to them as "ghouls." But even over time, Romero has taken to calling them zombies as has every other form of media. But if you want to get REALLY nit-picky, the "ghouls" aren't ghouls, they're vampires. At least an extension of the vampire blood-line since the original Night of the Living Dead was heavily influenced by/completely ripped off (Romero admits this) I Am Legend.

The big difference between a Ghoul and a Vampire (aside form the rotting flesh of the ghoul) is that Vampires only drink the blood of their victims, Ghouls actually consume the flesh. Vampires also prefer live prey. Ghouls aren't all that particular.

The not being preference thing didn't last very long, though. While in NotLD they did seem to only devour the flesh of the recently dead, the later films saw them only devour the flesh of the living. Which, if I'm not mistaken, is the way Romero had always intended it to be.

Technically, Frankenstien's Monster would be a flesh Golem, if anything.
