I'm interested in some items that require V4.  I don't have V4.  I can find a super expensive bundle for V4 with a lot of stuff that I don't want and won't use, but not just the basic V4.  However, I can find a basic V4.2 that is fairly priced.  Would that work the same as V4?  Just don't want to buy things I find I can't use.

    Also, not sure I can even use the 4.2 alone, as it says Victoria 4 is required.  Is there any way to get Victoria 4 without paying $140?

    V4.2 is simply the latest version of V4.

    If you're not in a hurry, V4.2 or some of her bundles are often offered as part of big sales or even as freebies, so it might be worth waiting a bit...

    You will find though that V4 base is pretty basic,  you really need to buy V4 Morphs++ as well to get any real mileage from her  The cheapest way to get V4 and her morphs++ is the Starter BUndle   https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-complete
