DAZ Studio 4.10/4.11 doesn't care what Daz3DIM does

I would assume that both DAZ3DIM and DAZ Studio were designed to communicate with each other but nope.  

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything using Daz3DIM.  I made sure to identify where I wanted all my files to install in DAZ3DIM.  I also "reset database" in my DAZ Studios prior to uninstalling everything to make sure none of the previous settings were there.  

So I'm a bit shocked to find the old settings in DAZ Studio even after all that.  (I'm assuming that "reset" means what it means otherwise, how do I erase to reset the database to factory settings?)

I'm trying to connect to the correct CMS Cluster Directory and DAZ Connect Data but there doesn't seem to be any clear explanation of how to do this.  I've googled this multiple times in different ways and I keep getting the runaround and responses from various years.  We need a manual that is clear cut.

DAZ I love your stuff but we are dealing here with a problem that shouldn't exist anymore. 

In the early days of Final Cut Pro and Premiere there was a feature that was created to help you find files that you misplaced.  And once you found one, it would reconnect the rest. This feature is now common and every company out there has something similar to it.  So I'm begging you, please copy and past that feature into DAZ 3D.  We don't need to have this problem anymore.  Almost every creator and vendor keeps screwing up the name of folders and I keep getting alternate versions of "Document" or "Documentation", "Readme" or "Readme's" or "Readmes".  This is getting ridiculous.  So I try to organize my files by deleting these redundant folders and moving the files into one which then sometimes causes the DAZ3D not to know where the files are which brings me back to begging you to please copy and paste "find and locate" feature from Adobe or whomever.

I'm looking forward to DAZ Studio 12.

Issues:

1.  What folders do I need to connect to in Content Directory Manager?

2.  How do I erase old settings?

3.  Why doesn't Install Manager override DAZ Studio settings?

3.  Are there plans on creating an app allowing me to locate missing files and fixing the database?

The CMS database stores the list of items installed, and their relative locations within the content directory - it doesn't store the absolute location of the content directory, meaning that you can move the content without breaking the database. If I understand your situation, all you need to do is tell DS where DIM is installing to - which you can do by downloading http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/install_manager_config_import/start (there's a downlod link above the code) and dragging the file into the DS Viewport.
