geo editor .. unhide specific polygons

if I hide some polygons ... I can't undo that.
so if I hide three sets and discover I made a mistake in the middle on .. my only option is to unhide all hidden polygons?
----
the undo will say undo select but that was the step before hiding them.
---
as far as I can see if I make any mistakes in hiding them I have to unhid them all?

I would fist create a Selection Set then hide that set. With the Geometry Editor tool selected open the Tool Settings pane at the bottom of the list there is the Selection Set section. Just right-click on it and choose "Add Selected to Set" or something in that manner - there is also Remove Selected from Set. Finaly you can hide that Selection Set with the eye icon behind or with the right-click menu on the viewport.
While the Geometry Visibility state you change here will get lost by closing the scene the Selection Sets will stay there to hide things as needed. Another method is to create Surface groups from the selected an turn down the Opacity shader setting in the Surface pane changes you make here will get saved in the scene file and get reloaded between Daz Studio sessions.
The sceenshot doesn't fit exactly but you see where you have to right-click to get the menu I was talking about.
