Help -- is it my ISP or Daz?

On every other site I go to, I'm downloading at 12-13 Mbps. (I checked with a download at Rendo and RDNA, plus I did a speedtest.) At Daz, whether through the website or through DIM, I'm currently getting 26 **Kb/s** Yes. Kb. It'll take me a year to download the things I need at that speed!
Is it my ISP, or is it Daz?
Can someone check?

I fear it might be your ISP - I just tried a couple of small files (each about 2.5 MB) through DIM and they each went through in about 4 seconds (registering up to 3350 kbps at best)
Manual download, and I have a very slow connection, I am currently getting 195 kb/s, which is close to the best rate I ever get. I rarely get faster than 210 kb/s
Bizarre.
No idea why my ISP is only slow for Daz, but that seems to be the case, whether I use the DIM or manual.
Is that really kb/s or kB/s? If the former, how on earth do you ever get anything downloaded? I'm only on a mobile broadband dongle but at best get over 10000 kb/s - I do live in a built-up area though (in south Hampshire) so do pretty well, my main problem being small monthly GBs limit.
It is the former (kbps!!) , and I assure you it is NOT usually that slow!! On Rendo and RDNA, I am getting my usual 12MBps, which I usually get for DAZ. You can see why I'm a little alarmed!! It will take 6 months to download my last purchase if this persists, lol!!
Wait, lemme try connecting through my verizon phone wifi hotspot... that should verify that its my ISP...
It's my ISP. Normal speeds (11Mbps) through my phone's 4G connection. Grr!! I hate ISP issues on sundays!!
Well, that sounds really annoying. I've had that sort of thing occasionally, but start/stop connection has usually fixed it - for me it's rare to have a problem (except in very cloudy or thundery weather) but I do wish I had a larger monthly limit as I'm still waiting to download some files (yes, HDR ProSets Yosemite Packs 1 and 2, I'm looking at you!) from weeks ago.

I just happen to live in one of the top twenty of worst Broadband areas in the UK, I think we rate at number 12 in that list. I am also right at the end of the line from the exchange, and that is down in the next valley over, so I always say our speed is so bad because the poor broadband has to crawl up our mountain (we are at 1200 ft)

There's WORSE than that?!?!?
Still at least you get the scenery..... :)
Lol. Those ARE huge files. I'm going to be stuck at the 20kbps for a bit -- my daughter was in the dentist's waiting room on her ipad with YouTube, so my limit is nearly reached on my phone. I tried a reconnect and a reboot -- nada. I'll wait a few hours and call tomorrow if I must. I hate internet tech support people. I was a network admin at a previous job, and I HATE being asked the idiot questions... (Did you reboot your computer? Did you reboot your modem? Did you...) AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Maybe it will just fix itself. Maybe someone hit a telephone pole somewhere nearby!! Glad I updated to the newest 4.6 today before everything began crawling.
Just files a support ticket. If you call them you'll get an answering service that will just file a ticket for you.
That's 12.17 Megabits, downloads are in megabytes. 12.17Mb * 0.125 = 1.5MB.
Your downloads should be hitting at least 1.5MBps
ISP speed * 0.125 = download speed
Yes, I KNOW, lol... Let me illustrate again... Download speeds through firefox:
Edit because i sounded snotty.
I contacted my ISP. She said she's handing me off to the next tier of service. 1/4 of my pings sent to daz are dropped. I hate ISP support. Gah.
I wasn't telling you you're wrong. KBps still isn't in the MBps range you should be, so something's obviously up. I was just saying that the number the speed test said isn't what your download speeds would read out.
Yeah, lol, I got that after I posted. Sorry -- I'd just finished a live support chat with someone who treated me like an idiot. Hence the irrational conclusion jumping and resulting snottiness. My apologies. :D
No worries, been there done that myself more than once. I just love getting tech support for something only for me to tell them info that they don't know. >.<
Recently went through it with the drop outside my apartment. Replaced my router, modem, and all of my wiring inside. They finally sent someone out to check the drop outside, and whatta ya know.. my internet stopped dropping when the heat rose. Go figure. ;)
We once had a bird fly into a transformer on a pole behind where I work. We lost power, telephone, and internet for 6 hours until they could replace everything the transformer had blown up, lol!
Suicidal bird! Did you at least get the rest of the day off? lol
I did!!! Good day for me! Bad day for the bird...

We live in a very rural area, at the end of the line; we get more than kbs but still only get around 1.3mbps on average; it's a nightmare, especially since I'm just starting in character creation - sending zips takes hours :(

Well I just ran a speed test provided by my ISP they told me
Broadband Speed Test
We haven't been able to complete the speed test at this time.
This may be due to a problem with the speed tester, or your line may be running very slowly.
LOL
Oh dear... maybe it's too slow to register!
Yes, Monday morning is never a good day to run a speed test, as BT does have a habit of doing maintenance etc on the lines over Sunday nights. I rebooted my router and got a much more stable line, which did tell me that my Broadband speed was now registering at a huge 1.77mb.
What does make me laugh though is the people who come knocking on the door telling you that if you change to this ISP or that ISP they can provide High speed internet. I am not sure how they are going to do that, as they have to use the existing infrastructure, which does not support high speed internet as yet.
