PBR Exporting?

Is there a method, script, etc. that can export PBR surfaces for use outside of DS?  The docs are pretty skimpy beyond the basics but might there simply be a menu or tool I'm not seeing?  Stummbled across something for layered textures awhile ago, but can't find it now. Even a spreadsheet type listing export would be helpful frankly.

When something is exported from Daz, whether it be FBX, OBJ, etc., only the base surfaces get assigned and copied.  At least this is the case using Lightwave.  At present, I'm just examining the surfaces in Daz, making notes, & trying to whang together an equivalent.  I know where all of the source maps Daz uses are, but there are definite terminology differences of settings in the UI that is a guessing process at best.  More info on thaose would be nice too.

Thanks.

In what format would you want it? I think someone could make a script to export it but how would you load it. I don't think there is a widely adopted standard for describing PBR surfaces independent of render engine.

No, there isn't any particular standard which is why it would be nice to have some docs what Daz uses.  In 3DCoat for example, it writes out the textures & simply uses a naming convention.  Similar with Allegorithmic's Bitmap2Material app. That would be a start at least to get the image maps in place.  Have no idea how non-image items would be handled though.

On the Lightwave end, I use a 3rd part tool (ODTools) that uses the naming convention & assigns the maps accordingly.

If you're saying you can't even get texture maps to come over then that should be solvable somehow... even .obj (referencing a .mtl) should have no trouble with that.

For surface properties DS can use lots of different things, dependent on the shader applied to a surface. So I guess what you want is docs on the Iray Uber shader.

No, it's just the one layer as a Standard surface and not principaled, so no bump, normal, spec maps, etc. That has to be done manually.  As such, freshly brought in models generally look like hand painted porcelain figures when first opened in Lightwave.  So what I do then is track back to the Daz folder where the models maps are & copy the rest of those over to a Maps folder (just makes them easier to find) for the new model.  From there it's mostly trying to match what's in the Daz structure.

But it sounds as if you're right & I'll see what I can find on Iray Uber then. Kniow of any links?
