Genesis 8F Problem

I have no idea why this is happening. I currently don't own any of the morph packs, only use characters that don't need them or one's that can partially morph her. The image below is the base character and that is how she loads (I added the skin after she loaded), with screwed up hip bones and it affects every character I apply to her. I thought maybe redownloading the starter pack and installing it again might fix the problem, but didn't happen. This only happens with the G8 Female, I have no issues with the Male version. It also does not happen with any other model version (just finished loading and checking for a possible repeat on other versions). I am using Daz 4.10 64bit version, and it happens in the 32 bit version as well. Yes I have both on my computer.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I can fix this?

  • Your image isn't showing, which may be for the best if it's nude.

Usually this would indicate that some kind of correctional moprh or joint adjustment wa being applied when it wasn't needed, because of a slip in the ERC set-up. You could check the Curently Used group in the Parameters pane to see if theer is anything listed, and zero the entries one-by-one to see if one of them was causing the issue.

And I deleted it from the computer...ok will go render another one.

Your suggestion confuses me. Is the G8F base figure suppose to load with messed up hips?

Ok went back into Daz and loaded G8F, and of course same thing happened. Did as you suggested and looked under the paramaters tab. Under paramaters-actor-morphs is a character called Erika set to 100%, zeroed it and G8 is normal again. So now the question is why does my figure load with that character already applied and how do I fix it so she doesn't? Oh and very simple instructions please, my brain has been sluggish of late and acting like a dim wit.

  • When a morph is saved one of its properties is a default value, which is applied when the figure is loaded - it isn't in the figure file, it's in the morph asset file.

I found the download for this character and read posts by others and it's happening to others. It was suggested to delete the files and G8 will go back to normal after restarting Daz. That didn't work. So if this is a morph asset file, how do I fix it? I don't know anything about morph assests.

Problem solved. Seems the files had been installed in two different places and I had only found one of them. Finally got rid of all the files and now G8 loads normally.

    Thanks for your patience Richard.
