I have this environment and finding posing in it very tight if that makes sense.

Walls seem to easily get in the way and the model hidden out of sight, is there a setting I may be missing or something IM doing wrong?

I dont get this problem with any other environments I have though.

It's a smaller space than many, as it is scaled more realistically. For iray you might want to use a Section Plane (Create>new Iray Section Plane) to make the walls on the near side invisible to the camera, so that you can place it outside the room as on a film set.

Also, you can do what a real photographer would do and change the camera focal length.  Cameras tab, select your camera, Camera parameter, focal length, shorter brings a wider angle of view (with increasing distortion, though).
