iRadiance HDR Resources how to use?

i just bought this set
https://www.daz3d.com/iradiance-hdr-resources-parks-and-rec-vol-2
short question is how do i use it?
i have added the dome/texture and reflection map but it looks crap and dull
no lights and no refelctions in the water as seen on the images
second problem is that the render is almost pitch black
is there a tutorial on how to use these HDRis?

Are you rendering in Iray? You shouldn't need to be adding the textures to anything, there are presets that you use which should set the needed environment settings. If you are adapting an older set to iray, you will want to remove the dome if it had skydome geometry in the scene.
that doesnt answer the question
how do i fix this [thing]?
gorund is all over the place and thats with DEFAULT settings.
i would say this is the badest 20$ i have ever spent
i normal bitmap as background looks better than this crap
Edited for profanity
This is an older set, pre-Iray, but you are rendering in Iray. According to the file list in the read me there are HDR files in /Runtime/Textures/DimensionTheory/RefmapRES/Outdoor/ in the location to which you installed, you can load those into the Environment slot in Render Settings' Editor tab (and not load any dome props, those will not work in Iray) to get both reflections and - if Draw Donme is on - background image for your renders.
@Richard Haseltine
It says there are Iray presets for it.

The Ground settings aren't at default. The X and Y settings are at a negative value which will lower and turn the horizon and the Texture setting set at 200 will shrink the ground area and also cause problems.

The software isn't the problem. Attached is a render of an empty scene with DTRRO Park P 8k loaded in the environment. All parameters default. Doesn't require any textures loaded, tiling changed etc.
Ah, I'd missed that Iray settings were included. But it appears, from the presence of a reflection sphere, that at least soem 3delight files are being loaded. All that is needed for Iray use should be in the Render Settings presets.
