T Pose ?

Hi,

I'm new to Daz3d & having trouble finding a standard T Pose. I have Genesis 8 male and this has more of an A Pose as standard but I can't find a T pose anywhere. Please help ?

Cheers.

  • What are you wanting a T pose for? It's simple enough to raise the arms, if you just want the figure standing that way, but I asume this is towards some end.

There are 'pose converter' scripts for G3/G8, that would convert the G3 'zero' pose for G8 (including pushing the legs closer together).  But really, Richard Haseltine is right: what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

  • I want the same thing and the reason is when importing into game engines, it seems to make the animation retargeting more accurate. Apparently, A-poses aren't all identical between mediums but T-poses seem to be more standard. Especially when it comes to finger and feet placement.

So put her in a Tpose and save her for export to your game (interactive license obtained of coarse).

Shes in an A pose by default so the autofit feature, artist, and dforce simulation have easier accessiblity when it comes to folding/pinching of, and draping over, the upper shoulders and vertex seperation in her crotch.

  • I'm in the same  boat.  Using G1M since I don't need anything more complicated to migragte to VRChat, but the figure is getting all warped due to not being in T-pose.

  • I'm trying to find a specific t-pose file for genesis 2 characters, in order to follow a guide I have. It says to:

    1) Download T-Pose-Gen2.zip

    2) Unzip to C:\Users\%USER%\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Presets\Poses

    3) Open DAZ3D

But it provides no link for the file to download? I found the location of my daz genesis 2 poses, and none of them appear to be a t pose.

    Can anyone help?
