Rons brushes - question

Hello!

I am interested in some of Rons brushes, available here in the store. The product info says that these brushes are in .abr format and require Photoshop CS or above.
I do not use Photoshop CS in any version, but I have Photoshop Elements 11. And now I am unsure if they will work.

So, can anyone tell me if Rons Brushes work with Photoshop Elements 11?

Thank you!

    Greetings,
This tip implies yes, although you need to do a few things to make it work consistently.

You could always download a free brush from one of the resources on the net, and see if it works for you. Ron has a set of free brushes that you could test with.

    Hi XoechZ,
I use Photoshop Elements 9, and I have many of Ron's brush sets:
Ron's Atmospheric Bundle, Ron's Horror Bundle, Ron's Water Bundle, Ron's Angel Dust, Ron's Birds, Ron's Cobwebs, Ron's Detail Smoke, Ron's Fog, Ron's Fog II, Ron's Light and Shadows, Ron's Nuts Bolts and Holes, Ron's Smoke, Ron's Waterline, Ron's Waves, Ron's Weeds, Ron's Winter Collection
These all work perfectly with PE9, so I'm sure they would work with PE11 too. You can copy the .abr files into your Presets/Brushes folder (as the link from Cypherfox esplains) or just use "Load..." and point at the library where you put them (although you would have to do this every time you restart PE11, so copying them into the presets is better).
I believe however that some of Ron's other products include complex PSD files with some kind of layer grouping that PE9 cannot handle - don't know whether the same is true of PE11 - and so I've avoided buying any of these.
    Hope this helps you.

I used many of them in PSE11, but not all will work. I'm thinking it depends on the version the file was saved as.

Thanks for your answers. That sounds not too bad. I think I will just try one package. And if it does not work Im sure I can return it. But after reading your posts, I think it will work.
