Wow... tremendous detail. Can you dial just a little of the old lady character in?

I have to say, working on this project was a lot of fun. And at the risk of sounding like a commercial (even though this is a commercial thread) ForbiddenWhispers, FWArt, and 3DWizard really outdid themselves on theses products.

Greta is an absolute delight to work (and play) with. The details are amazing. If you're looking for an older female character to play the role of a witch, a hag, a kindly elderly woman, or just something out of the ordinary, I wholeheartedly recommend using Greta. You won't be disappointed.

Regarding the robe - are you in for a treat! 3DWizard packed it with loads of morphs, so it's very versatile. And the craftsmanship he did is simply superb - the natural wrinkling of the fabric, and the hood movements are well thought out. I think you'll get a lot of use out of it no matter the setting or genre.

I know I should probably say something about my own product, but I don't roll that way. I'll let you all be the judge. Suffice to say I had a blast making my set, and I hope that you all enjoy it as well.

Very nice, looks like a few must have products on their way :) The details judging from the promo shots alone seem to be amazing. Looking forward to put her on a broom :)

Hmmm... I'm seeing one thing the sets are missing, unless they are just not shown. Don't you think some Side Saddle poses for the Broom would be nice? I mean then we could use the FULL sets, robe and all in our renders. Just my 2 cents.

Truth be told, I waffled about doing them in the first place. Now I see that I should've included them. So, just to show that I listen, and 'cause I love throwing in goodies, I'm including some side saddle poses in the set. Should be through QA in time for the release so no one will have to wait for an update. Happy Halloween!

Sorry Estoyer. I thought maybe ForbiddenWhispers would come in here and answer this for you. All of the robe textures have some tattering and rips in them. I don't recall if there are "one-click" options for removing those, but if not, it's easy enough to do. Just remove the transparency maps in the surface tab in DS. (I'm sure there's something similar in Poser, but since I'm not very well versed in that program, I shall abstain from trying. It would be like me trying to tell a funny joke poorly, with random explanations thrown in. It would just annoy you and I would look pathetic. Lol.)

Sorry been rather busy. No all the textures are tattered and have holes in. But the transmaps can easily be removed in the opacity dial to help with this so the robe appears 'not frayed' and new looking.

    Thanks for your answers!
Being able to dial the holes out, is almost the same as, and as usable as, the item not having the holes at all ;)
If that makes any sense XD

Finally got a chance to play around with the whole set. The hag morph is awesome, IMHO it is very well done. The props and poses really do help make this set pop.

Just a note on the robe. There are two versions. One has the thighs rigged in it (Hooded Robe). This one is good for most standing poses and can be easier to adjust for some poses. The other robe (Hooded Robe MP), the lower section of the robe is manually pose-able. This is particularly good for sitting and kneeling poses. I created some presets for the robe to match some of FF's included poses and also some of the G2F base poses. Pose presets that end in MP are intended for the Hooded Robe MP and without are for the Hooded Robe.

I will try to post more later on how to pose the different robes.

    Cheers!

I'm glad you said something about the pose presets you included in your robe, 3DWizard. I just discovered them and was about to say something so that people know that the robe can play nicely with the poses, but you beat me to it. :) Awesome that you went to all that work. The customers are going to like that. I love your render, btw.

So, in that vein, I just added two side saddle poses so that hags wearing the robe (or other fetching dresses) can also enjoy riding the broom. Pose # 14 I have shown wearing the Hag Robe (using the preset for pose # 03). Pose # 15 I'm showing on the G2F base, just to remind people that I've included poses for the base as well as for the Greta character.

Thanks for everyone's comments. Really glad you like her. When I did the morph I tried to make it so that you won't need to have any extra morph sets, so Genesis 2 Female base is all you need... even for the nipples and genitals, which have all be done in zbrush, so hopefully loads of fun and I shall look forward to many great renders from all you guys. It was great fun creating this hag with Anna, who is to be credited for the amazing skin texture and Philip for the super cool robe and of course not to forget the lovely Chrys for the super cool props and poses. Anyway, was great fun, and I hope she'll bring you all loads of fun as well.

Sorry about bringing back memories Barry... but glad you like her though. Should have seen the early stages of the morphs, I am sure you wouldn't have recognised anything in it... well maybe some kind of alien fish woman. lol

3d, hope you don't mind my question, but I have toask so I am prepared.. got a bit of a disapointed with another hood today... This hood on the robe, is it possible to actualyl have hair under it?

Earlier today, I tried to make a render with a guy, having some of his hair to fall in front of his eyes and still have a hood up.. basically, a lone traveller coming in to the bar/inn from the rain or cold outdoors etc.. however, the hood in question didn't was not able to fit the hair inside it, it just poked through everywhere.. and it was a Short hair (zac hair for M5, pretty slimmed down on the head, a bit more unruly in front of his eyes)

I ask now just so I know what to expect from the hood in that sense, when I have it :) and it is in no way a dealbreaker or anything.. just, me being silly enough to not want that kind of disapointment again if I can avoid it :)

Oh and the pdf looked fine in my opinion ^^ read it through and will be able to follow it even better with the robe to play with :)

    Carl O,

Questions and suggestions are welcome. First for the robe you have you might try adding mesh smoothing to it and select zac hair as the collision item, this might help. I tried it on my robe and it works pretty well, but if you need to fix poke-through in the robe then this is not an option

For the Hag Robe I do have an Expand Hood morph. However, I just tried this with the Zac Hair and it doesn't cover it completely. So I created a ZacHair morph. It is probably too late to included it for the release but if you want it just send me a message and I will get it too you.

BTW there is hair included in the robe. It is just a hair coming out of the bottom of the hood. You can see it in the very first image of this thread.

    Cheers!

Thank you !! I admit I had missed that it was hair coming out from the robe.. and I would love that morph for zac hair too ^^ no stress though, as the product for the morph isn't out yet :) I'll send you a little poke once I have the robe in my runtime *smiles happily*

    *sigh*

When I first saw this I knew it would be very hard to not buy immediately. After reading your tutorial 3dwizard, and seeing all the great renders in this thread, I am totally doomed. There is no way I can ignore this when released. I just hope my bank account can forgive me...eventually.
