Portion Of Frames of Video Renders Coming Out Completely Black
This has been driving me crazy. Each time I render a video, there's like a 20 to 30 percent chance that part of the video will come out completely black. Latest episode of this had the first 1sec coming out completely black and the last 2 seconds rendering fine. Then when I render it again without changing a thing, it came out fine.
See attached thumbnails below.
Sometimes it's reversed with the first part coming fine follwed by the remaining video rendering black. Anyone else have this happening?

What happens if you render to an image sequence instead?
Thanks for the reply. Never used image sequence, is there an advantage using a sequence instead of movie mode?
Several - you get an alpha channel, which can be useful if you are combining with other elements; you can tweak and rrender a few frames if there's a problem, instead of having to rerender the whole sequence; it allows more choice of output format, depending on what your video editing software supports; it allows the addition of a soundtrack; it provides crash-protection - just pick up from the last good frame.
