Problem with movement axis'

I have a model that for whatever reason the creator made the movement axis completely off
allignment of the object.
It makes setting the object in the scene a nightmare
Is there a way to perminately adjust the movement axis on a model so that it will match it's symmetry?
thanks

Kinda sort of. You can rig it in Daz. Add a base bone and save it. How you may ask. Well, research prop rigging in Daz 3D.
As to moving the pivot point for real, I would export it to Maya and move it where I wanted to save it and import back.
or Hexagone good luck with that. Good Luck
Using the Joint editor tool you could change the center point of the object and then resave it to the Daz Studio library
hmm will give it a shot
