Can I make part of render image transparent?
Can I make part of render image transparent? Like choose square area which will not be render (or will be render as transparent)?
I add picture for ilustration. I wanna render whole image with transparent area. Not zoom on face. Is it possible??
Thanks for reply

Create and select the geometry you want to use as a cutout, then go to your Content Library pane>Daz Connect (or whatever content directory you isntalled the default resources to)>Scripts>Utilities and double click Create Advanced Iray Node Properties, then in the Parameters pane>Display>Render>Iray turn on Enable Iray Matte - this will be transparent in renders (as long as it isn't catching any shadows, at least) and will save that way in PNG or Tiff.
I am still missing something. Cube is rendered as white not transparent...
Can Daz do this? An actor is animated by themselves, with no other background or objects in the scene. Render the actor with all background transparent.
I can do this already by setting the background of the viewport to some wild color not shown in actor, and then keying the background out in Hitfilm. Sometimes that comes out perfect, other times not quite.
Thus I'm curious if Daz can do a cleaner faster job of creating a video with animated character on transparent background.
OK at the end I used spot render which is exactly what I need.
Thanks for reply
Are either of those full Iray renders?
Well i set render to Nvidia Iray. Not sure if I have to do anything else in render setting??
But did you render when you said it wasn't working? The screen shots didn't seem to show renders.
I rendered it like 10 minutes and then stop. I saved it as png and opened in photoshop. Background was transparent but cube was rendered as white. One side og cube has yellow tone. Exactly same like in the picture I post above.
Works for me with a cube, I clicked Defaults in Render Settings before rendering (as I noted, it does show shadows and so on). You do have the Enable Iray Matte button on the cube, and it is On?
OK when I clicked default in render setting it works so it has to be something in render setting. I will try to find why it doesn't work before.
Thanks
Render mode has to be photoreal. When it is interactive it doesn't work.
Just for info ;)
Ah, that make sense - Interactive does disable some features.
