Hello.

Saturday is the best day for hacking Uber Base shader, isn't it? ;)

Ok, New question is

How to save hacked shader in .duf format? Mixer saves it as .dbm file.

I want to save shader and check it in scene.

Thanks

  • Apply it to a surface, using the button at bottom-right, then save a Shader preset (or Materials preset).

Oops, I didn't notice it. How I didn't notice it? May be "bottom" is not good place for this button? "Simulate" and "Render" at top.... "Apply" suddenly at bottom. And why there is no "Apply" in the Mixer's menu?  Very strange usability.

    Thanks anyway.

    Hello.

    One more question.

Where is "Top Coat Weight" and other "Top Coat" parameters in Daz Uber Base shader? I opened it in Shader Mixer and can't find these parameters. And there is no "Top Coat Weight" after saving of course.

    And one additional question.

Several "Top Coat" are hidden when "Top Coat Weight" = 0 and become visible when "Top Coat Weight" > 0. How to do such behavior with other parameters?

    Thanks.

  • As far as I know it isn't possible to set up AutoHide properties in Shader Mixer - I'm not sure if that is done in DS or in the script that populates the Shader pane.
