Is it possible to reorder objects in the scene tab? I guess what the title says, is this possible? I tried dragging and dropping to move them to change their order, but it didn't work. Does this functionality exist?

I am fairly convinced that it is in loading order, and I am not aware of any methods to change that.

Although you can delete an item and then reload so it shows up in the end.

Or you could create a group and set the order in there.

But why does it matter? - what are you trying to achieve?

  • Please don't leave the question in the title only.

I can't recall if they are all in the option menu (lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) or in the right-click menu within the pane but there are options both to move the selected item up or down, or to top or bottom, within its peers (so all items parented to a particular figure, say) and there also option to sort alphabetically.

Sorry, I'll try to remember not to do that.
