Horse looks like Plastic

Hi, I purchased Millenium Horse

but it looks like plastic. Is there any plugin needed? I had same problem with AM Wulf, but after I did a lot of work with plugins, the fur was great. But unfortunately there is no LAMH Preset for Millenium Horse.

    The Millennium Horse is a little old for the LAMH treatment. The basic horse only comes with one texture (Black) and the settings are really intended for early versions of Poser. All the other texture packs are no longer available, not that they wouldn't need some tuning to look halfway decent in DAZ Studio.

    You can try turning down specularity, raising glossiness (higher is less glossy, go figure), raising the bump limits to +/- 0.1 @ 100% (or +/-1 @ 10%). You could also use the bump map in the displacement channel at about 10% to get more surface detail. It will never look like a LAMH figure, though, that level of detail is just not available.

    You could use one of the other included 3DL shaders (uberSurface or AoA_Subsurface) to add some other effects, but I have no insight into that approach.

    Millenium Horse was released in 2004, LAMH didn't exist at the time.

    ETA: These won't make your horse furry, but at least give more variety than the "any colour as long as it is black" horse itself. Even the DAZ Horse 2 isn't furry out of the box and that's relatively recent.

    yeah, i saw the info months ago.. and for some stupid reason, postponed to check and DL..

    with freebies, you have to grab them greedily like a maniac, otherwise *whoop*, they're gone ^^
