Stereo 3D and DOF settings
Not sure if this turns out to be a newbie question or a feature sugggestion:
I'm currently trying to wrap my head around the "Lens Stereo Offset" in the Camera's lens settings.
This is a very useful and welcome feature, as is allows to render output directly without any post-editing - but it comes with a downside: For this parameter to work i understand that it is crucial to set the "Focal Distance" correctly to achieve correct convergence. I haven't found an option to bind the focal plane to an node, so i have to set the focal plane manually after each camera or subject change.
So what i'm trying to mimic is the same as the autofocus on a physical camera.
Did i miss this option somewhere? If not, is there a workaround or would it even be a feature to consider for an upcoming version of DAZ Studio?

Unfortunately there is no autofocus,
there's a free script that you can use to parent a null to an object and then by running the script it will focus the selected camera to the null object.
Here's the link

The Aim and frame commands will set the focal distance to the centre point of the selected item
Thank you both! I think i get the basic idea. Let's see if i can script that for an animation.
One question though where i'd appreciate your knowledge: Is there a built-in function in DAZ Script where you can recycle the node selection dialog (see below)?
You mean launch it and then rad the selection? No, I'm fairly sure not - only the file/folder dialogues and the alert dialogues are built in to script
That would have been the idea behind it. Thanks for the quick answer!
