How to avoid nesting clothes with D Force ?
Hello,
I know the smooth modifier. It's ok for prevent a clothe from nesting with G8.
But if I have more than one cloth and one of each have collision with G8 AND the second cloth : how to prevent clothes from nesting together ?
Is there a parameter on simulation ?
Thank you so much, I have tested lots of things but no one is perfect :((

One way is to change the Collision Layer on the clothing. Start with layer 1 being the closest to your figure, then Layer 2 on top of it, etc.
But sometimes that doesn't work very well either.
IF the layers of clothing are separate objects, you can also run multiple simulations. Let's say you have a skirt with a long shirt over it and a coat on top that you want to simulate.
Note that this really works best if you are draping clothes over the character in their final pose (Start from Memorized Pose turned OFF). It doesn't work as well when you want to start the simulation from a memorized pose and simulate the animation of moving the figure.
Thank you so much Jonny for your answer !
I didn't have access to my computer earlier to answer
Unfortunately I have already tested this way of doing (one simulation after the other) but it is not perfect.
These are 2 distintcs objects at the base so I can't use the layers.
I also need to do an animation to paste other elements and so my character has to move...
I was afraid you may have tried the most common workarounds.
Other tricks may not work well either since you're dealing with animation. Like some people will scale up the model 500%, run the simulations, then shrink it again. This is especially helpful for items that have tight folds which may cause self-collision problems at smaller sizes.
