Digital Art Copyright?

Hi, I just wanted to know how to register a trademark to protect your own images etc. As the market is international should you register it in the country of the website you post on or in the country where you reside. I also assume you don't need to have a business before you register a trademark or a mark to protect copyright?

Any suggestions helpful including good reads, websites, and suggestions from your own experience. I don't expect a legal opinion but just want to be pointed in the right direction.

You mean copyright not trademark to start with. Trademark is an entirely different kind of intellectual property.
