Getting Errors when trying to make a morph..

Hi I am trying to create a teeth morph for Genesis 2 Female but I am running into problems.. I have been following this tutorial http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/modeling/tutorials/pbms/start but have found the part of importing the modification back in, there is one setting there Assign To Geometry Region does not exist in the current Morph Loader Pro that I have with the current release of Daz Studio..

But the main crux of the problem is that I follow what it says about exporting and then modifying (using Hexagon for modifying the upper jaw) then when I try to import back and follow what it says as much as I can and when I click accept I get this Warning: Geometry did not match, failed to create morph. yet I have not deleted anything just changed the length of the teeth by stretching them..

Now I know that I can send the figure from Daz Studio to Hexagon via the Daz / Hex bridge but it imports the whole figure and all I want is the upper jaw but I can't select the one bit I want doing it this way at least as far as I can tell..

Any help please would be greatly appreciated thank you as I am not sure what I am doing wrong. :)

Well I tested the modified upper jaw obj file on Genesis 2 Female in Poser pro 2014 as a morph target and it works perfectly with no problems.. Do the same in Daz Studio and it will not have a bar of it totally refuses to work still get Warning: Geometry did not match, failed to create morph...

Love to know why in one program it works but in the program I want it too it will not and the Daz Studio to Hexagon Bridge does the whole figure and not just the one part of it..

You can use the Shading Domains in Hexagon to hide/show various parts that you wish to morph. Best/easiest to work with the figure sent over the Bridge for creating morphs.

Sounds like your to used to making morphs for Poser, figures in it are basically just a collection of props held together in a null, with each prop (bodypart) having it's own morphs, so just morphing a single part of the figure works in it, TriAx figures are different, they are a single mesh with a "bolt on" skeleton, this means your working with the entire mesh at every stage, which makes every morph for them a Full Body Morph.

The tutorial you are using is not correct in the export options part. When you are exporting Genesis or Genesis 2 Female, Write Groups menu should be set to Use Figure Name(s) instead of Use Node Name(s). Because if you put it to use node names, figure will be exported in (node) parts, it will not be whole in 1 part and thus you will have more geometry than the original figure so you will get "geometry did not match" error. When you export it with "use figure name(s)" it will get exported as 1 figure named G1 or G2F which will match.

Thank you for the info in the end had to go this route still can't get the export method to work right..

Yeah I found doing the morphs for Victoria 4 much easier, and when I got Gen X from here I was able to port them over to Genesis with no problems.. But since Genesis 2 is a different figure all together could not do what I did with Genesis at least not as easy.. What I can't work out is why the modified OBJ that I exported out with Studio and modified with Hexagon worked in Poser Pro 2014 but not in Daz Studio.. Just some things are easier to do in Poser such as saving morphs and what not but I like Studio too since I am slowly procuring Genesis 2 gear and well it works better in Studio in some areas..

Thank you for the info on that part never knew that G1 and G2 were all in one figures so to speak.. :)
