Please help on Sandals fit to feet

This is a question about Genesis 8 Female Ms SWOLE (SKU number 58401), Mei Lin (SKU 55163), and Elin Sandals for G8 (53037).

As showing in below 2 pics, the same Elin Sandals, can be very good fitted to Mei Lin, but can not fit to Ms SWOLE ! The sandals was totally deformatted by Ms SWOLE.

I tried many methods, include the left 'fit to', and adjust the right side all parameters, since at beginning the sandals was destroyed by Ms SWOLE, no matter how I adjusted, it still didn't work, the sole still not flat.

Even changed the feet size before apply sandals still didn't work, because sandals' size will automatically fit the feet.

Same thing happened to Ms SWOLE on other G8 sandals and G8 clothes.

Please, help Ms SWOLE to wear the sandals confortably. Thanks.

  • Are you placing them on Mei Lin and then changing to Swole? You might try that if you haven't. Otherwise, it may need a morph to fix it.

Sorry, don't understand how to 'changing to Swole'? You mean apply both Mei Lin and Swole, first let Mei Lin wear the sandals, then fit her sandals to Swole? If so, it is still the same result, deformatted, and fit back to Mei Lin, good look again.

Wonder why G8 sandals can not easily fit a G8 Female.

  • Are the sandals made for Genesis Female 8 or Mei Lin or who?

If they were made for Genesis 8 Female, I would put them on that base figure and then dial up the morphs for Swole and see if that helps.

They can, but if the morphs are too extreme, like these, they may require adjustment morphs for some things.

It is Elin Sandals for G8F (53037) from DAZ shop, don't know made for whom.

See this pic, for morph adjustment.   Adjust to the bottom, it magically fits! But see the leg, is it still Ms SWOLE? No, it is not, it is a slim girl. Can not believe we must adjust people's body to suit a shoe. Tried adjust the sandals morph, even can not make the sole flat.

Guess there must be a reasonable way to fit, otherwise this Ms SWOLE is a waste model.

  • I don't know if it's affecting others but I can't see your images as they are being blocked by my security software - you might want to upload them as attachments.

My security software tells me that the site you have the images on is being blocked due to ransomeware

  • Where a morph is not diectly supported in a fitted item, such as these shoes, DS will project it in - broadly, it looks at how the fitted item's vertices are positiong relative to the base figure's, then adjust their position to have the same relationship to the morphed figure. A Rigidity Map can be used to restrict the effect, cuasing the affected area to move as a unit (or not at all). I think the shoes probably have a rigidity group or groups on the straps, causing them not adapt well to he chnaged shape, and not on some other areas, causing it to buckle due to the irregular movement of the morph. You could try removing the Rigidity Group from the straps (if I'm right) with the Geometry Editor tool, or you could use one or more dForms to pull the strap out as needed.

I was asked to comment on this thread due to my professed ownership of the male version of this product.

Regrettably I don't own heels for G8M. So I had to convert from G8F.

But here is an example of results I got, one with a smoothing modifier on the shoes (Edit, [Figure,] Geometry, Add smoothing modifier) and without one.

In your pictures the angle of the heel looks pretty wrong, I don't think you'll be able to fix that easily...

(unrelated but apparently if you have a special offer banner at the top of your screen you can't upload images to the forum. Odd)

Thank you TZORG for the quick and detailed reply, and thank you Richard for your suggestion.

Have spent more than 20 hours on this wearing, yes, TZORG, your idea on 'smoothing modifier' is somekind helpful, it can let one front strap shown up, and the back strap clearly shown up, but since the sandals was 'destroyed' by Ms SWOLE at beginning, many straps are twisted, this method can not show all of them.

Richard, I tried to DForm those twisted straps, it can be shown up but since they were twisted, looks so bad, have no idea to adjust this 'twist'. And didn't find any rigidity group for delete under both Ms SWOLE and Sandals, it only shows to 'creat a rigidity group' option.

Attachment shows the result after smoothing modifier, plus left foot after DForm, and rigidity menu.

  • I think in this case your only real option is a custom SWOLE morph made in a modeller.
