    Where are you looking?

Does the content appear in the Content Library pane? If it is not appearing in Smart Content, then the CMS (Content Management Service) may not be running, check that.

Also check to make sure that the path to your content folder (whatever it is called) is listed as both a DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats folder in the Content Directory manager. Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory manager.

How are you installing everything? If you're using the Installation Manager (especially for the first time), it and D|S don't talk to each other to agree on a default installation location — you're the only one who can look into each program and make sure their preferences match up. If they don't, then all your content is probably properly installed, but it's not where D|S is looking.

I had that happen a few weeks ago. I had to re-set up my pointers to all my runtimes/content libraries. I still have to manually find the texture files whenever I try to apply shaders and if I open an older file with shaders in it I have to go find them all over again.

Also, I've lost the scaling on all kinds of items. At best there is one scale slider for everything or no sliders at all. I know those items had x, y, and z axis sliders before.

I've no idea what broke, but it seems to have stayed broken.

I'm about to drop some knowledge yo: https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/22523891-Trouble-shooting-the-Smart-Content-Pane

Seriously though, if you see your content in the Content Library Pane but not in the Smart Content Pane then something with CMS is askew, either it isn't working or the metadata hasn't been imported. Going through the steps in the above article will help you get it working. If you need further help our wonderful tech support agents are really good at sorting these issues out.

To check and see if CMS is running, for Windows7 open your task manager and then the process tab and look for ContentManagmentService
