Why does the render window get cropped?

Sometimes when i reset the preview window and the Render window and start the rendering
the image gets cropped as if the camera moved closer. Why does this happen?

The rendering engine uses whatever your last viewing location was. So, if you have the small preview window up and it's using a different view/camera than what your main window is using, you can get into situations where Daz is actually rendering what the alt viewport is looking at rather than your main one. 

Have this happen a few times and you'll get used to pausing before you click on Render to look for the light yellow border around your main viewport that shows that is the active view that the rendering engine will use.
