I was interested in a poser 7 model but it said FBM and shaders won't work in daz.

I'm not that bothered about shaders but what is FBM and why won't it work in Daz?

    What model is it exactly, then we could advise you better?

    FBM = Full Body Morph.

    Most models built for Poser before Poser 9 should work in DAZ Studio, but it may depend on other factors.

    The morphs are in PMD format, which don't natively work in DS unless called to from a CR2 file. You'd have to open it up in poser, inject the morphs, and then save it out as a new CR2 and use that CR2 in DS.

    For a possibly Poser-free method of conversion (if you're lucky), Bejaymac wrote a how-to to convert PMD morphs to DS the manual way, which requires some coding, here: http://hivewire3d.com/forum/showthread.php?511-PMD-to-DS

    The materials are procedural from Poser's mat room. Poser procedurals will not work in DS no matter what, so you'd be on your own texturally.

    Mind you, if this doesn't work properly, the creator likely won't answer any questions with regards to it's usage in DS since it's stated on the product page that it won't work. Any workarounds are solely up to you.
