Hair Color Question

When I set 'Rose Hair' (G8F) for a dark green, the color shifts to lighter (or even other) shades, while I'm working with it.
Is their any way to keep this from happening BEFORE I rendor the scene, so I am looking at the correct shade (hair color), while I work with the character?
...Or this just the way the product works?

As long as it is the correct color when you render, you should be good. I believe this happens when using custom shaders since i get it also.
This seems to happen more with the new product, it seems.
I like to see what I have before I render, straight off the screen. I usually don't use the product, if I cannot see it the way I like it. Costs me money.

There are lots of products that use special shaders and layer image editor files that don't show up till you render. You can alwatys use the iray interactive render mode to see what something will look like before doing an actual render.
I just tested the iray mode, tonight.
Older products don't seem to run into this problem. But sometimes, even they, do not appear solid.
I apply some color, in Surfaces. This does not always work, but it does, sometimes.
