Cannot seem to understand how to make a piece of clothing/etc follow a figure

So I've been trying to make my own mesh eyelashes for G8M. I have weightpainted them in blender and parented to the original G8 rig.
However, I'm not sure how to make the bones of this hierarchy move together with the bones of Genesis 8 Male model. Rigging transfer doesn't seem to transfer bone end locations well either. I have looked for an answer but never really found anything so i'm sorry if that's a very common question or something easy to do...

I'm not certain that I understand what you are trying to do. Are your eyelashes intended for use in DAZ Studio? If so, any rigging or weight mapping should be done within DAZ Studio, not Blender.

I want to connect these lashes to the genesis 8 figure but retain my own weightmaps which i successfully imported from blender

  • Another strange thing is that i cannot transfer rig from g8 to my hierarchy, most bones have wrong orientations for some reason

  • Why do you want them to have their own weights? That will guarantee they won't follow the figure.

Is the issue with the bones having used the Transfer Utility?

Because autofit sucks and breaks them when they are being posed, while the weights i did in blender work well and deform together with the eyelids.
The bones are like this after i use rig transfer(figure space). aligning fixed them a bit though

  • The joint centres need to match the base figure, and so do the weights at the point of attachment if you wish to avoid tearing/disassociation.

The weights do match, however i am not sure how can i make the bones of my mesh deform together with the genesis 8 mesh, this is where i am stuck Autofitting screws the rig up pretty badly, while using transfer utility to get weights from duplicate made before autofitting moves the lashes to the ground altogether
