Daz keeps GPU on high after viewport rendering

[Daz keeps GPU on high after viewport rendering] I check task manager and it's showing GPU 85% usage. (I've an MX150 - It renders sizeable scenes suitably.) This has been happening for a while. I updated the driver via NVIDIA's site to no avail. Any idea what's happening?

So you are using the nVidia Iray preview mode and although the scene will render in the GPU it is still using a lot of CPU?
Not CPU, that returns to low. Disk usage also goes down. The amount of VRAM used remains the same.
Yes, as long as the scene is in iray mode or a render window is open the memory will remain in use.
While iray mode is activated, GPU usage goes up as it should. Switching from iray mode to smooth/texture shaded or any other option does nothing to lower the VRAM used. It remains high as previous. (Some confusion may've been had above. Apologies. Answered incorrectly.)
Unless daz themselves sees this as an issue, then I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon; so I would submit a bug report if you want the devs to be notified of this...
Ok. Thanks. I'ma try posting in the Technical section first. I may've narrowed the problem down.
After running a preview render in the viewport, I switch to the Smooth/Texture Shaded option. Checked task manager and 85% of GPU's in operation. The log shows errors regarding "dzneuraymgr.cpp(304)".
All available GPUs failed, No devices activated. Enabling CPU fallback, Re-rendering iteration because of device failure, All workers failed: aborting render. Lastly - an illegal instruction was encountered (while de-allocating memory).
The last one I imagine is what keeps the memory usage up (with utilisation being 0%). Is there a known fix for this?
Merged threads. If you wish to move the thread, though it is really in the right place now, edit the first post and select the desired forum from the drop-down list.
Thanks Richard. The problem appears mainly solved. Decided to update the BIOS. Checked the log again and 95% of previous errors no long appear.
It now shows two POST Render errors: "A CUDA error occurred: out of memory" and "Failed to allocate device memory, falling back to CPU" For a simple 24 div cone, no bg? Amazing.
Since the topic at hand is solved however, perhaps this can be closed or labelled as such.
Haha. Spoke too soon. The errors have returned with more errors than previous. If someone decides to pursue this, that'd be great but I've relinquished investment in this problem. Will check in but, I suspect, renders will have to be shelved and another program be employed till and if a solution is found.
Downgrading to Nvidia's 417.71 driver and rendering in Iray Interactive mode seems to have done the trick.
Got the specific downgrade idea from the Daz 4.11 beta discussion.
