Set Coloration

Is there any way to remove the yellow colors that interfere with me inspecting this set?  (attachment)

...or this just another 'it will look okay in render', situation?

I like to see my sets clearly while I'm working on them, not just through a render.

  • In the Draw Settings pane set Node Highlighting to Bounding Box Only.

    Hello, thanks for replying!

I located the pane you mentioned, and changed the setting.

There was little change (other than a flicker), but perhaps I didn't follow the correct steps.

(Unless I can remove the yellow shading, I cannot use this set for what I intended it for.)

Can you show all of your Draw Settings for Texture Shaded? It looks like some others have been tweaked. This is what mine looks like right now...

The other option is to turn off the ability to select the object in the viewport.

On the scene tab, click the arrow in the 2nd column next to the things you don't want to be able to select in the viewport. In the screenshot below, if I hover over the Ceiling, Floor, or Rug objects, it will not be highlighted in the scene.

  • What set is this? If it isn't the selection yellow, it could be a specific shader. I don't remember what causes viewport weirdness with special shaders, but having them take on a bright color is something I have seen, though not as strongly as you showed here. If it is a shader thing, does it go away if you switch to the Nvidia viewport mode?

    Here are my settings.

I tried the 'other option', but nothing seemed to change- ...if I did it correctly, of course.  I'm not sure if i did.

    I selected the Nvidia viewport.

That did seem to change things.  I haven't checked to see if this mode is practical for me to use, yet, however.

    ...but I will.

    Thank you!
