Question about how this product works.
I've been circleing this for awhile now and I've gotten myself into a story that could really benefit from it. The thing is, I'm resisting my "Ohh yeah! I'm getting this!" reflex because in the past I've been bitten on compatibility or my own inability to figure out how it works.

I render in Iray, this makes no mention of 3DL or Iray. I assume because it's an older product. I do have a pretty decent selection of glass Iray shaders though so will that get me over that hump?
Also, it seems that these are individual props and not materials that apply to existing glass. So am I correct in assuming I'll only be able to use this with environments that allo me to dial down the opacity on the existing glass only?
I know Daz has a very agreeable return policy. I was just hoping to avoid all the hassle by seeing if anyone else has used this and is fluent in its application.
I appreciate any help or experience that's out there.
Thanks!

Given there's no reference to Iray, yes you'll probably need to apply your own glass shaders. But you're also right that they are props with their own object files so the geometry and such should still work. You may need to figure out how to hide the existing window and possibly scale the shattered prop object. It's definitely still a viable product, just a bit of manual tweaking of the materials and fitting it into your scene.
If you think you may use it more than once, you may consider getting the Iray materials setup the way you like then saving them as a Material Preset so you can reapply them later.
Edited: SHOULD work, not shouldn't!
Good tip on the Material Preset. As far as the tweaking goes, that's cool too. Taking something and making it work in a scene is part of the fun and I honestly consider it a fact of lifein Daz. I just wanted to make sure I had a clear understanding before I cracked my wallet.
Thanks for the note JonnyRay!
Check the SKU number on the product page. Iray was introduced with D|S4.8 while the SKU numbers were around the 21000-23000 range. Note that there were still non-Iray items brought out for a while after this, but anything with an earlier SKU will not be Iray. And since Shattered has an SKU in the 17000 range, it's definitely 3Delight-only.
