Why the weird mustache?

Hey,

I'm trying to compose a new scene & for the 1st part of it I notice Gramps has a funny two-tone mustache (notice the flesh color on the mustache along the edge of the nostils) ? Anyone know why? Is that just the skin & hair being too glossy? They are set at defaults. The lantarn though I set to kcd/m^2

Thanks.

Ciao

Kind of looks like specular reflection, but I can't zoom in enough to see the detail before it gets blurry. Does the lighter band follow the camera angle? It looks like the light is reflecting off the part of the curve of the mustache that''s facing the lantern (or, technically, a normal bisecting the angle between the lantern and the camera). Default settings aren't always suitable for all conditions...

Problem was the glossiness. It was too high and the surfaces too smooth creating that reflection on the mustache directly beneath the nostrils. In normal lighting situations it wouldn't happen..
