How do you guys create custom content for DAZ3Dusers to use? is there any additional software?

    You create models and textures in other programs and rig and pack them in DAZ Studio. You need to know how to model and texture in other programs before you can create content for DS.

    Photoshop would be one program you need, but you still are in need of a modeling program such as Hex, or zBrush (there are a lot of programs) and then you need something that can map your creation.

    It very much depends what sort of custom content you are thinking of.

    It depends on what you want to do. If you want to make something from scratch you will need to save out an .obj to bring into DAZ Studio. If you want to do morphs you will need that obj and a program like hex or zbrush

    Get Sculptris (it's free) and hit some tutorials!
