Just found DAZ last night and did a fresh install. Never used 3d software before but was messing around with it. Saved a file and quit out of the application. Came back around today to find that DAZ is unable to open my files. So i did a re-install: no luck.
Heres the log file:

I have no idea what any of that means. I'm completely new to this technology. If its relevant, DAZ (4.10) is installed under my C: drive under Program Files (x86). The save files seem to be coming from my Documents folder (Documents>DAZ 3D>Studio>My Library>scenes. I'm pretty frustrated that I can save files but never retrieve them :/.

Same problem. No Idea
With what or how did you install the content and to where? You don't want it stored in the cloud AFAIK.
The default directory for Connect install is called "cloud" though it's a local directory
Couple possibilities for the "error reading file" message.
Either the scene file is corrupt or something in that file is causing the error.
Try creating a primative, square, plane, whatever and saving that as a scene.
If it errors on a reload, i'd say you might have a drive problem or DS is corrupted.
Try reinstalling DS and try the primative scene again.
If it's still erroring out, it might be a bad install or something else may be causing the issue.
Did you save (File>Save) or did you pick one of the options from File>Save As? If the latter, some of those are presets that require a target item to be loaded and selected, and that is the error that you get if you try loading them without a target selected.
