Am I missing a file.
I have both Carnival Big Tent and Carnival Big Tent Interior, but I keep getting a missing file error. Daz install manager installed everything, and during the time of the carnival sale.

Check if the textures have both .duf and legacy versions -- it may be that the required products haven't been updated yet.
In Window Explorer the file extension is *.daz, so the file needing updated is most likely it.
Also the poser file for the magic for carnival tent loads okay. it's just the ds version that is getting the error.
When you try to load the file, it will give the relative paths of the missing files in the error log (in DS Help > Troublehooting > View Log File).
Odds are the required file has been updated, so you have the .duf versions rather than the legacy files. If that's so, post in the thread about the Carnival .99 sale to let JGreenlees know the textures need to be updated, in case it isn't already one she's working on.
If you're in a hurry, there are two things you could do in the meantime to get it working:
1) if there are materials presets in addition to the preload, you could load the ,duf (or the Poser version) and apply the material presets to it. It could be a lot of items, however.
2) you can download the legacy version of the required file and install that.
A lot of the texture sets for the Carnival pieces do not seem to work correctly In DS. The scenes that are suppose to load the piece with the alternate textures are looking for the geometry files in the wrong place.
When I load the magic big tent interior, I get these error in the log file (only a few of the errors):
Merging file !S_Pre_Int.daz...
Unable to find file for storable: data/cbti_entrance_11876/bti_ent/cbti_entrance_11876_bti_ent/geometry.dso
Unable to find file for storable: data/cbti_entrance_11876/bti_ent_cur_s1/cbti_entrance_11876_bti_ent_cur_s1/geometry.dso
...
Unable to find file for storable: data/cbti_box_1760/box_s1/cbti_box_1760_box_s1/geometry.dso
Unable to find file for storable: data/cbti_box_1760/box_s2/cbti_box_1760_box_s2/geometry.dso
...
If I use DIM to look at the installed files for the tent interior, I see (again just a few of the entries):
/data/Jack Tomalin/CBTentInt/CBTI_Box/cbti_box_1760.dsf
/data/Jack Tomalin/CBTentInt/CBTI_Entrance/cbti_entrance_11876.dsf
The main Big Tent and interior sets load fine, but the texture sets do not. It looks like the geometry files have been moved and these texture sets have not been updated.
It's a problem that's been hitting a few of the not-so-new sets (e.g. Curious, West Park) that are being updated from Poser stuff plus D|S textures to the new Poser/DSON/Legacy triple format. Apparently some of the Legacy files are assuming the object files will be in a /data/3_0/ folder when they aren't, or vice versa. (I kept using D|S1.8 for a long time, so a bunch of my /data/ files aren't in a /data/3_0/ folder.) A similar glitch seems to affect recent texture sets, if you haven't updated the original scene set (in this case you won't have the /data/PA-name/ folder the new texture .duf scenes are looking for). I've found one way to work around it is to update all the items in that set, especially the original; that way everything matches and all the /data/ files are put into the proper folders. Only problem is, this won't help if as someone mentioned upthread the original set hasn't been updated yet.
I'll get Jen to look into this, I know some fixes were on the way but I'm not sure if they've hit the store yet.
Questions time.. What are you using? If you are using a texture add on pack for any of the carnival sets you will need to use the legacy version of the carnival sets. I haven't yet made it to gettting them updated.
The legacy files have the 3_0 data files and the version before that (Which wrote the data fles in the root data folder.)
The carnival sets are a priority with me and I am working on them as I can. I promise I will get them done but please try installing the legacy version and then see if the texture set works.
If you are manually installing and only want the data files so the add-on will work you could just extract the data files and that wouldn't give you the user facing legacy files but would give you the data so you could open the preloads to the textures
Please let me know if that helps
From the screenshot you can see that the problem is occurring with the legacy files. I don't know why someone using DS 4.6 is installing the legacy files, but I can assure you that the DSON files for Big Tent and Big Tent Interior are working fine. The problem also occurs with Carnivale Entrance, which does not have a DSON version. If you try load any prop or scene from the StudioCF package installer (which is basically in the legacy format) you will get the same error that shows up in the screenshot above.
There are an issue anyway with the DSON package installer. They don't carry the materials presets, so if you are mixing textures with other packages you cannot get back to the default materials using a preset. It is workable, but a little inconvenient.

Entrance is converted and i am getting it packed up and installerized within the next day or so. (I am working as fast as I can ) Some sets do still require the legacy as i get them converted less and less will need the legacy files. Which set doesn't have the materials preset? If the original files had them I usually make sure they make it to the dson as well.
Will let you know when entrance update is done and live.

Big Tent and Big Tent Interior does not have their companion Material presets. They are missing in the Legacy Package Installer also, but they exist in the Poser Installer Package as companion to the PZ2 MAT files. It is common standard have these companion Material presets with the main Product's assets. They are useful just because if you mixing textures from another Texture pack and at sometime you needs back to the default original texture, the Material preset is there to make its magic. ;-)
