Rendering 3delight environment/scene with iray: problem with lights

I wanted to render an old 3delight environment with iray (the cage, https://www.daz3d.com/the-cage) and it seems to work fine without doing any manual adjustments and letting the automatic conversion do its job.

But I have a problem iwiht the light set-up. The scene is accompanied by a set of roughly 30 point lights and I thought because there are no different point lights for 3deliight and iray that the light set-up would be changed to iray automatically (I read in another thread that it should change automatically if I change the render engine). But the scene is then nearly totally black if I render it. With the headlamp on the scene renders just fine.

So the lights don't seem to work correctly in iray. Does anybody know what I have to change to get them to work?

Thanks

I guess you're a bit 'out of luck', as the included (point) lights in the preset do not have the needed Photometric Mode option saved within them. That would mean replacing them with new point lights....

However, you can also try to set emissive surface settings to the 'FLLightStrips' and 'TopLightBulb' surfaces in the surfaces pane.... that's what I just tried....

Thanks, that's exactly what I need. But where exactly are these options? I can't find them. I select the light in the scene tab and then select the surface tab? But there is no such option for me.

My interface might look different from yours (depends on the theme you choose during the installing of the  DAZ|Studio program), but it should give you an idea were to look

Start by selectint hte cage as a whole and apply the iray ubersurface to it. then in the surface tab you can select the mentioned surfaces and setr them to emissive; the values in the image are just an example, experiment with them for the result you like best.....
