They all look great! I have a question, is the loincloth part of the suit itself or a part of its own?

  • A part of its own and it is Dforced

Absolutely love these suits (and kudos for dropping the circles around the breasts, much better without them).

Which gods are you planning for the male set(s)?

Well I think Anubis as he is always popular. Then I think Horus would be a good one to do. And then maybe Sobek, or Thoth or Khnum. Will see what is best. All your opinions are welcome. :)

really like that hooded cobra helmet. Would also like to see a serpent helmet without the hood and one based on the crocodile-headed Sobek, too.

    Why not Ra?
  • Well Ra is good too but Horus and Ra both are hawk heads, so it really does not matter witch one I chose. :)

Ra is the sun god, though.

    He is the fun god.

Wow, very cool! I love where this is going!

I wonder if the loincloth shouldn't also have a cloth in the back?

  • hmmm. good idea. will look into it. :)

  • So Hylas commented about the loincloth maybe should be in the back as well, and so here are the results. I think it looks better so will go with it. :) thanks Hylas for the great sugestion. :)

Most Egyptian pictures I have seen have the "loincloth" only in front. I don't think it is a loincloth per se, just a decorative part of the loin wrap. I could be wrong, I am not an expert on ancient egyptian fashion, just going off what I could google. :)

I also did a bit of research and what I could find was that the loincloth thing was more like a small dhoti or like a type of underwear or something. Anyhow these are Scifi outfits so I have some room for creativity. :)

I look at these concepts and I keep thinking of the "hinted at" backstory for Doctor Who's "Pyramids of Mars".  Playing with the then popular (and recently resurgent) concept of "ancient astronauts", the Doctor explains that Sutekh (Set) of Egyptian mythology was actually a woefully evil member of a species called the Osirans and it took the combined might by the rest of his kind to finally vanquish and imprison him.  (Gabriel Woolf totally "owned" that role through nothing more than his melodious, unstated voice, given he sat immobile and behind a featureless mask throughout most of the narrative.  Rather than ranting and bellowing, he rarely spoke above a whisper, yet you got the feeling he could rip a galaxy asunder if his full might were unleashed!  That's the mark of a great performer!)

    Sincerely,

    Bill

  • So here is Anubis for the Male outfit so far. any comments welcome.

With all these blinkenlights all over the armour, I have this mental image of their ears flashing when they speak — like a Dalek — so you know who's saying what. After all, the helmet mouths don't move, do they?

  • No, the helmet mouths do not move. :) I think that would defeat the purpose of a helmet as it would be more like a creature insted of a SciFi suit. :)

Update on the outfit, I re-textured the belt with a bit more style. What do you all think? is it tooooo much! does it take away from the helmet?

I kind of like both belt options. I guess if the more detailed one had a texture option for the belt part to be all gold with just the embossed design, that might be the best of both options? These all look really cool, very nice work!
  • That is a good idea. I'll make a material set option for the belt so you can have either. :)

  • So here are the Sash sets for both Female and Male outfits. so anyone can chose what ever they want. :)
