Does anyone know if there is a way of animating water spraying over the bow of a ship in heavy seas in DAZ Studio? Also making an animated ship wake?Any help appreciated!  Cheers

Have you looked at https://www.daz3d.com/fluidos-for-daz-studio ?

I haven’t  used it, but it sounds like something that might work.  Another possibility is that Blender has fluid simulation. I recall Sickleyield having a tutorial on it on her deviantart site.

  • Thank you for your reply.I have tried Blender but the learning curve is far too great for me! I really wish DAZ Studio could come up with a fluid simulation or particle system! I do not have Fluido's but I do not want to spend unecessary money on programs that do not do what I want! If anyone has used this program could they tell if it will do animated sea sprays and ship wakes? Cheers

  • PS.I do have the Animated Ocean Water System for DAZ Studio and also Ocean Wide! Cheers

Fluidos can do the spray and wakes. See this at youtube (You'll see a high resolution animation at last seconds).

However, it's a very difficult task to get great size scene (an ocean) doing the same. It'd need very huge computer resources and a long long time.

This scene use a medium resolution simulation (from this product https://www.daz3d.com/fluidos-presets-waves.

For close-up, a high resolution simulation is very good. But if you want  a wide shot, it's better to mix in scene the high resolution fluid simulation as foreground and, for the background, the Ocean system you already have (another simulation a greater scale with lower resolution could be the background too).
