Since there are clothing converters now, how about a figure converter? So a G3F character can become a G8F character.
If you could do that for V4 too, it would be amazing.

A figure converter would be awesome; my characters could have endless iterations, and I could choose which one depending on what I wanted them to wear... wouldn't that be smashing? Evil, too... I would have to wishlist a bunch or g3/g8 clothing and hairs...

ooo yes i got old stuff from first gen to to kids so to make them upgraded to gen 8 , would be great
I second the request but I would like to see G2 --> G3 and G3 --> G8. I created some very unique looking characters in past generations that I simply can not recreate in later generations. Being able to move those characters forward would enable me to buy new products instead of being stuck in previous generations with certain characters.
Up to Genesis 3 you can use Dimension3D's GenerationX2 with applicable figure expansions. Sadly, the creator passed away some time ago, which is why there is no G8 plugin.

It would be nice, but wouldn't it be too late for this now?
I mean, I have dozens of characters, but they're all G8, since this generation has been around for a long time now.
But if G9 went out, I'd probably like to convert my full characters! If that product will be released at the beginning of that product cycle, otherwise I'd probably work around that in another way!
G9 is not due until next year; Daz posted elsewhere.
To be clearer, Daz said G9 wouldn't be released in 2019, they never said it was due next year.
