Hey Everyone,

One of the best parts of my job is getting to interact with our awesome customers in the forum. As Bilbo Baggins once said "I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." Last month we did the PA Festival Render contest and I felt like I got to know quite a few of you through that thread. So, in celebration of the release of Creature Creator for Genesis 2 Female(s) (but mostly because I want to get to know more of you) we are going to host a render contest.

Rules
1. I probably won't think of everything right this second so I reserve the right to add/change rules over the next few days.
2. Renders must include at least 1 figure with a morph from either the Creature Creator or Creature Creator HD pack for Genesis 2 Female(s)
You can find those here:
Creature Creator HD for Genesis 2 Female(s)
Creator Creator for Genesis 2 Female(s)
3. One entry per person. If you'd like feedback on an image before submitting use this thread
4. The contest begins now. We will accept entries Thursday the 7th of November 2013 midnight Mountain Time.
5. We will award prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. $20 in store credit for 1st Place, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd place.
6. Images must be rendered in DAZ Studio, Poser, Carrara or Bryce. Use of the Lux Renderer via Reality or Luxus is acceptable. Post work is also acceptable.
7. When you submit your entry let us know the name of your render, and the software you used. You may also include credits for products used, but this is not required. Please name your image file in the following convention UserName_RenderName this will make my life soooo much easier.
8. You have to have actually purchased either the Creature Creator for Genesis 2 Female(s) or the Creature Creator HD for Genesis 2 Female(s) to be eligible to win.
9. Feel free to use this thread to ask questions that are pertinent to the contest. Any other questions considered off topic will be split off and/or merged with an appropriate thread.
10. By submitting an image you grant DAZ 3D permission to use said image for marketing and/or promotional purposes.

Judging
At the conclusion of the contest I will select qualifying images from the thread that stand out in quality, creativity, composition, lighting etc. These images will move on to the voting round.

Voting will be done by myself and other DAZ 3D employees using an anonymous ballot system. Judges are allowed 3 votes and must pick a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Images receive 3 points for a 1st place vote, 2 points for a 2nd place vote and 1 point for a 3rd place vote. After the votes are in we will tally the points and announce 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Honorable mentions will be given to images receiving a significant number of votes but not placing in the top 3.

Suggestions
I am open to suggestions. Feel free to post them in this thread. Just because you suggest it doesn't mean it will happen, but it never hurts to try.

Theme
There is no official theme. Just use the creature creator morphs in the most creative way you can think of. Once again images will be judged based on creativity, originality, composition, lighting, technical skill and other buzzwords.

Edit: Non-entry. Just sharing for the fun of it.

I really hope this doesn't offend anyone. I didn't set out to create this specifically, but when I put the zombie morph on G2F, it instantly reminded me of the King of Pop. BTW, this is Genesis 2 Basic Female, I simply used the Breast Gone morph and a bit of Androgenous.

That's pretty much on the money.

As she began to walk out of the light she could see the beast glaring into her eyes... Afraid she contemplated weather she should continue to seek help or hide from that hideous creature..... hahahahaha Halloween

I know I have had my troubles with Daz, but I absolutely love it.. When I can make art like this it makes me very happy!

    Sugar Faerie
I think they are related to tooth fairies and can be frequently seen shortly after Halloween, collecting remaining sweets :-)

Rendered with DAZ Studio, contains a Hag and Heavy morph of Genesis 2 Base Female and a V6-Josie-Faerie Creature mix. The comp was created with Photoshop and the only postwork to the render itself is the frame and a very slight addition of noise.

    Title: The Hammerhead

Nalin used to be a mermaid, but was one day snatched up by the Navy and later taken to a secret government facility where he would be tested and experimented upon. They then tried to change him. Make him into something else, a new weapon of sorts. But the changes did not go as planned and he became something not envisioned by his captors. With his new strength he savagely slayed his captors and attempted to escape. Angry with his new mutated form he roams around his cell area killing all he sees.

Used Genesis 2 Hammerhead and Exo Body HD morphs.
Nalin morph and mermaid eye textures
AoA: Metalized Glass Shaders (on gun)
    AoA Advanced Ambient Light
Distant light and two specular lights.
    Biohazard
    David 5
    Tech Soldier Outfit
    Rigged Water
Cords from Arki's The Pod (from rdna)
    Morphing Sweat from Renderosity
Postwork done in photoshop (added rays+additional sharpening)

    When shall we ...?

"Yeah, Trish has almost finished the Halloween soup, so we'll see you in a few ..."

Three G2Fs, all with various Creature HD morphs and each has a different Creature Zombie MAT applied.
Leftmost witch has dress from Tanked, Emo Boots from Emotions and Regina Malorum hair. She holds a mobile phone from Waiting in Libe (with screen set with UberArea light).
Middle witch has SuperDRess, boots from Casual Jeans and Aoife hair.. She holds a ladle from Medieval Tavern, with a DAZ primitive cylinder in to replicate liquid from 'the pot'.
Right hand witch wears Wrinkled dress, Maid boots and Josie tails hair. She holds a Ball Joint Doll, by SickleYield, based on a Genesis figure, with the body parts shaded with the Maple wood shader from the SPEX set by Slosh and joints shaded with the Bronze shader from the Gemalogica set.
The cauldron is from Magic Shoppe with a DAZ primitive cylinder for the liquid (it and the cylinder in the spoon) shaded with Dimension Theory's Goop AoA/SSS shader. The 'mushroom cloud' of smoke is from Smay's Fire and Smoke. The bones around the cauldron are from Them Bones and the fire itself is a DAZ primitive torus with a Dfromer and pwEffect applied, along with a Geometry shell with UberArea light applied.
The majority of the ground and grass are from esha Naturals EN Grass (with a use of instancing to 'fill in the blanks'). There are a couple of bushes from ARTCollaborations Backyard and a few from Predatron (P3DA). To close up the gap between the skydome and ground a ground prop from Moonlit Diner was added, scaled and tilted. Skydome from Predatron Essential Lights (with lights removed).
Main lighting is from an AoA Ambient and 2 AoA Spotlights.

Rendered with 3Delight, no postwork, except to resave as jpeg (to reduce filesize) and rename.

Ah bummer, I didn't see the Render requirements, and moved it over to Vue for some extra props I didn't have in DS. So I disqualified mine.
I just put in on my website instead. If you want it as wallpaper it's on VisualParadox.

I don't stand a snowballs chance in the contest, but I got a idea from listening to the song On the Road Again ( Willie Nelson ) and after having played around in the morphs a lot I got me this one :)

It's a mixture of creatures morph (hobgoblin, faerie, exo, zombie, goblin, bat, aquatic alien. Mixed in a few of the HD details too :) ) plus the darkbrown fur material and horns.

I named this lady Kali, still have to come up with a story and some personality for her, but shouldn't be too hard I hope *smiles* Anyhow, on with the render ^^

    On the Road Again

the specific lines that gave birth to this render was these :

    On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again
And I can't wait to get on the road again

(a small edit, as I realised that I 1. Had not given the information that I used only Daz Studio 4.6, and the only postwork doen was adding my signature in Photoshop CS6. 2. I had not named the render as Jared asked us to. I hope it is allright to make this little edit, if not I guess I just disqualified myself from the contest *sheepish look*)
