I submitted a help ticket, but thought I would try here as well.

Hi, I've used Daz 3d for a long time. I have used 4.10 since it's release with no issue. About a week ago, I was doing a 3delight render, and the program froze. This has happened from time to time, no big deal. I closed everything and rebooted. When everything came back on, I tried to load Daz 3D. It started fine, on the loading screen, but when the loading screen disappeared for the main window to display, the program minimized. I couldn't get it to maximize. I found the render it froze on in the temp folder, and deleted it, but nothing would bring the program interface up. Since then, I have tried uninstalling everything, reinstalling to c:\program files, I've even tried reinstalling to c:\daz\ with an entirely new content folder as well but nothing solves the issue. I have tried with and without install manager. There have been no changes to my system at all, I didn't have any new assets installed, nothing, no windows updates, no driver changes or anything whatsoever - just that render error. I've had dozens of renders freeze up over the years, but none have caused any issues whatsoever. As far as I can tell, none of my system settings, including image/3d settings, were changed by this error. I'm considering a complete system restore but I don't feel like it should come to that - I've never been locked out of a program like this!
Here are a few images of what I'm seeing: https://imgur.com/a/ZEdkGJE

It looks like it has been resized down to postage stamp. Can you try dragging a corner of the admittedly tiny window to resize it?
Unfortunately not, I am unable to adjust the size of the window at all.
Double-click the title bar should also work. If all else failes, in a file browser go to
%AppData%/Daz 3d/studio4/
(just paste that in the address bar) and remove the layout.dsx file to force DS to rebuild it's main layout.
gawd I had that happen with Carrara once and was also the preferences folder I ended up having to delete...
Neither of these helped. No change whatsoever, although it rebuild the layout.dsx file!
Here are some warnings I noticed in the log file. I this is gibberish to me, can anyone translate it? Perhaps the issue lies in the warnings?!
A forward, however - My system disagrees about there being an outdated video driver, everything checks out with every diagnostic test I run... and even so, I don't render in Iray so I don't see why that would be an issue. My video card is Intel HD 520.
So, back to the log - I'm just copy pasting the warnings for this most recent attempt.
Does a Right Mouse Click give you options?
Right clicking will bring up a menu of recent scenes and files, as usual, but clicking anything does nothing. Well, that's half true - I am able to right click, and then left click on "close program," and it will close. I don't have to close it out through the task manager or anything, it's like it is running but just invisible. It will close out quick and easy.
You seem to have something seriously wrong somewhere. That's a lot of failure to load warnings..
But the ultimate culprit isn't immediately clear.
I'd lean towards uninstalling the program and doing a fresh install that tends to correct this sort of thing without needing to identify precisely what is wrong.
I am starting to fear this may never be resolved.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times. Once manually, once using DIM, and once using new directories entirely.
As you said, typically the peskiest error is corrected with a fresh install. I've never experienced anything like this from any program, ever. Using brand new files indicates an issue with my hardware, but every scan and diagnostic test comes up the same - no change. I've used a handfull of programs to scan for both software conflicts (virus or malware but also ran a scan checking for compatability) as well as hardware conflicts (drivers, display settings, 3d graphic card settings).
No error anywhere :-/
try CCleaner registry cleaner between uninstall and reinstall too
Is this really going to remain unsolved? Sorry guys, I'm not ungreatful for the helpful suggestions, I'm just frustrated. Daz is literally my favorite passtime, and now it looks like i might need a new computer entirely?!?!?
Has this never been experienced?
Some things to check just on the off chance that one of these is the issue. How much space is left on the drive once Daz is installed? There;s a weird entry in the log about pixel size being set to a less than zero value for your fonts. Have you installed any new fonts or any propram that may have included fonts recently? Finally did you try launching scene builder orthe tutorials? Those should both load the main UI.
Like others suggested there seems to be some issue with the widows registry maybe the Daz Studio application window opens up outside of the sceen space or something like that.
I would try to restore to a previous windows "system restore point" had helped me alot in the past - at least on windows 7. Everytime you install a new application (or the same application again) windows gets triggered to save a backup of the previous "registy" and system settings. The system restore points are listed with a date just pick a restore point from a date where you are shure DazStudio was runing with no issues.
With my asset library, daz occupies around 300 gigs, but I have 200 free. (currently 700 free brecause I removed everything from my local hard drive in my attempts to get this resolved)
I used cc cleaner professional to sweep the registery, and verified the job with iorbit's registry program.
I'm weighing this option. Wanna know something funny, and somewhat ironic? Sometime ago I deleted my compuers cashe of system restores. They were sitting on about 150 gigs of disk space. I have one restore point, the most recent. I ALMOST DELETED THAT ONE AS WELL, as i've never once performed a system restore in all my years of owning a pc. I didn't however, deciding that the occupied disk space wasn't significant enough to justify such a wreckless move.
So, i might go that route if nothing else works...I wish I knew, though, what the issue was.
I bet its an Windows 10 issue and has nothing to do with how DazStudio crashed last time.
I think cc cleaner can only clean up well known registry junk not false application settings.
With "system restore point" I don't meant the full windows disk backup. The both are often confused with one another the one you talk about is the "System Image Recovery" that saves a backup of the whole system drive as a so called image file, thus the big backup files. The other I meant is the "System Restore" see the link. Even that I use this sometimes its hard to find in the Control Panel watch the video in the link. It dosn't affect your files in documents or something just system files like the registry and other windos settings - very smale backups I'm shure you find some since there is a backup for every software installation.
What are the system recovery options in Windows?
